After 7 1/2 years I will be moving back to my home country. Last week we (Marc Dumont, Paul Hughes, Mary Edwards, and Rob Mills) installed our plot in the recently burned Saddleworth Moor. We try to answer important questions on how microbial life is affected by wildfire, and if we can put microbes to work to fast-track the recovery of ecosystem processes. 01.10.2018 Excited that Dan Turner has accepted his offer to come and work with me an Becky Morris.
